What did you do before coming to Simmons?

From 2004 to 2014 I served as an administrative assistant pastor at a church in Hainesport, NJ. From 2014 to 2017 I served as senior pastor at a church in Signal Mountain, TN. The Lord brought us back to serve in NJ in 2017. I currently serve as choir director, song leader, and in any way that I can at our church.

When and why did I become a chaplain?

I’m pretty new to the team. I became a chaplain in February 2018.  Chaplain Joe White, a long-time friend, reached out to me when he heard that I had moved back to NJ, and he told me about this exciting ministry. I was thrilled to hear that there was a business that was searching for men and women of God to minister to their precious employees. I became a chaplain because I love people, and I want to be a blessing. It is a joy to minister to and pray for the Simmons family of employees in Pennsauken, NJ!

Where did you go to School?

I graduated from East Gate Baptist College with a B.S. in Pastoral Theology. I graduated from Calvary Christian School, Willingboro, NJ.

Where have you lived?

I have lived in Burlington County, NJ for most of my life. Most of that time has been in a small town called, Riverside. God led us to Signal Mountain, TN for three years, and brought us back to NJ again. I really enjoy NJ. People are very genuine.

What do you do on your free time?

One of my favorite things to do is spend time with my wife and four children. Whether we're going to a park, down the shore, or just around the house, we love to family. I love to hear my kids talk about their view of things. What a world they live in! I really enjoy going on dates with my wife. We family hard!

What are some of your favorite quotes?

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16 KJB

"Build a bridge and get over it!" Dr. John N. Hamblin

"It doesn’t have to be a new recipe, it just has to be fresh." Pastor Jay Reed

"If pride made a devil out of Lucifer, the once beautiful covering cherub, what do you think it will make out of you?" Dr. Dennis Corle

"You can either curse the darkness or light a candle." Pastor Charles Clark, Jr.

Do you have any pets or raise any animals?

Our family breeds Labrador Retrievers (Chocolate, Yellow, and Silver) and Boston Terriers. For the Labs, my wife's family owns the Lab studs, Bandit (silver) and Thor (yellow), and we have the Lab females, Ginger (chocolate) and Pepper (silver). Our two Bostons are named, Buddy and Sally. We also have a cat named Theodore.
